Short version in English:
This homepage was set up to give the people of Værlandet and Bulandet information on what their community councils were up to, but as you can see, things have got a little out of hand. On these pages you can find information on virtually everything going on our islands.
How do I get to the islands?
If your starting point is Bergen, you can go by boat. When you get to Askvoll, you go on the ferry to Værlandet. The people at Fjord1 will help you. The boat trip from Bergen to Askvoll takes 2,5 hours and the ferry trip from Askvoll to Værlandet takes 1 hour.
If you come by car, you have to drive to Askvoll. From the nearest town, Førde, it will take you about one hour to get there. If you drive from Bergen, you will have to cross the Sognefjord with the Oppedal – Lavik ferry.
Where do I stay once I have managed to come here?
